Village Hall Improvements Projects
STOP PRESS
No sooner had the village finished celebrating it's 1999 village gala success, when it was struck with the hammer blow that the Hall Improvements project had been unsuccessful in it's application for major grant funding for the project. The application panel used a method of scoring for different parts of the application and while St Combs scored highly in most categories it fell down badly in the areas of architecture and planning. This is a huge disappointment as the village had employed professional and experienced architects to prepare their bid. Questions must now be asked as to why the application fell down so badly in these areas.
It is hoped that alternative funding can be sourced but it is likely that any future plans will now mean improvements on a much reduced scale. So if there are any millionaires out there with some money to spend on a great cause, please get in touch.........
